Privacy Policy
Tyonek Tribal Conservation District's policy on personal data, donor confidentiality, and website privacy.
Last Updated: October 2026
1. Who We Are
The Tyonek Tribal Conservation District (TTCD) is a non-profit tribal conservation district serving the Tyonek area and Game Management Unit 16B across West Cook Inlet, Alaska. Our official website address is: https://ttcd.org (with development preview at https://ttcd-org.pages.dev).
2. What Personal Data We Collect and Why
Contact & Volunteer Forms
When you submit an inquiry through our contact form, volunteer registration form, or email us directly, we collect the information you provide (name, email address, phone number, and message contents) solely to respond to your request, coordinate volunteer activities, or provide technical assistance. We do not sell, rent, or lease this information to third parties.
Donations & Financial Information
TTCD respects donor confidentiality. Donor records (such as names and mailing addresses for tax receipts) are kept strictly confidential. When you donate through Pick.Click.Give or Fred Meyer Community Rewards, transactions are governed by their respective platforms and privacy guidelines. TTCD does not store payment card numbers on our static web servers.
Analytics & Technical Data
We may collect non-personally identifiable technical data, including browser type, referring pages, operating system, and timestamp data to understand how visitors interact with our maps, resources, and articles, and to improve district accessibility and site performance.
3. Cookies and Local Storage
Our website uses client-side local storage exclusively to remember user-selected accessibility preferences (such as high-contrast display, font size scaling, and animation pausing) and color theme settings. No personal identifying information or third-party advertising cookies are stored.
4. Embedded Content and External Services
Articles on this site may include embedded content (e.g., educational videos, interactive ArcGIS mapping applications, and PDF reports). Embedded content from other websites behaves in the exact same manner as if the visitor has visited the other website directly. These websites may collect data about you, use cookies, embed additional third-party tracking, and monitor your interaction.
5. How Long We Retain Your Data
Contact and volunteer inquiries are retained only for the duration necessary to address your communication or maintain active volunteer rosters. Donor records are retained as required by federal and state non-profit accounting regulations.
